This film is of Mike Badger, Emily Grace and Matthew Gardner when they got together in Austin, Texas in March of this year. I'm part time working on a music documentary about folk, blues and country music in Liverpool and some of the footage shot that night may be used for that though I've put this together quickly as the trio are about to undertake a UK tour which kicks of on Saturday, July 4th at The Zanzibar in Liverpool.

This is a new favourite band called Sparrow & The Workshop and these were taken for their singlre and E.P covers. The design/art direction on this shoot was by Liz Harry. The band are based in Glasgow though they come from Chicago, Scotland & Wales. And they sound great so go and dig them out on My Space.

In March I was lucky enough to be taken out to Austin, Texas for the annual South By Southwest which is the legendary music business festival and conference. Needless to say it was lots of gigs though I also spent a lot of time just out and about photographing people on the streets and I also started work on the documentary I've been planning over the last couple of months. More on that soon. Hopefully!![]()

In December I photographed Echo & The Bunnymen's performance of Ocean Rain at The Liverpool Echo Arena and those photographs will be published in the booklet for the live album of the gig which is available from the band's site as a limited edition.![]()

These were taken at The Zanzibar at the monthly Company Store night and feature The Lost Brothers & Sixteen Tonnes. The night is on every month and features lots of brilliant new folk, blues and country influenced bands of which there's a fair few these days! I'm also starting to work on a documentary about this scene in Liverpool so please get in touch if you have anything to offer or want me to point me towards something that I don't know about! Much appreciated and thanks!
